Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Reveled At MWC

The South Korean multinational company Samsung Mobile today has reveled its brand new smartphone called “Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge”, which mark the biggest upgrade in the company’s mobile portfolio yet.
With Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung has carry on its experiment with the curved screen on the side, which they have started last year with the launch of Galaxy Note Edge. While the new model comes with a curved Edge screens on its both sides, the tilt is noticeably smaller than that of Galaxy Note Edge. Samsung has used a metallic frame on its new Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge which claims that this metal is 50% stronger than the materials that were used by its competitors.
As we have expected, the new Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixel, which makes it the smartphone with the highest pixel density in the world. The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will run on a 64-bit 2.1 GHz octa-core Exynos 7 processor which is based on 14nm process, which also makes the smartphone 35% faster than its predecessor.
The company also announced that they are moving away from the industry-standard DDR3 RAM to DDR4 RAM, which will help to boost the running memory to increase up to 80%. It is also said that the new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will come with faster flash storage which will decreases the lag between actions significantly. Both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be available in 32, 64 and 128 GB storage variants, with no microSD card storage option.
The company has also gave a hint of the slim TouchWiz UI, which has taken away much of the cluttered interface options and only left with the elements which are needed.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will comes with a rear camera of 16 megapixel while the resolution remains constant, but it has an f1.9 aperture and optical image stabilization. This means that the camera will be able to take photos and videos which are shake-free and brighter. The camera app also gets a better, which will takes shots in less than a second. The front camera of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge has got a much bigger upgrade with having a 5 megapixel and a f1.9 lens, which allows in 60% more light and helps to produce much brighter and clearer pictures. It also comes with a real-time HDR and mode which combines multiple images to create better images.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge has a battery which runs up to 4 hours even charged for just 10 minutes and also take half as long as iPhone 6 to charge from 0 to 100%. Making the first entry in the Galaxy S range, both the smartphone’s battery will not be removable.
The company also announced Samsung Pay, which will stand against the giant Apple’s contactless mobile payment solution at the same event. Unlike other companies which are using NFC standard for mobile payment solution, Samsung is using MST technology for its mobile payment system. It is also said that they have partnered with a large number of banks in the US.
At the same event, the South Korean giant also unveiled that second-generation Gear VR headset which will be compatible with the new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the first model which was compatible only with Galaxy Note 4.
The new Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be available in green, white, blue-black and gold colors.
